D. Dawson & Co has been in the outdoor umbrella business for over 35 years. We took it on from founder David Dawson and have kept doing what's always set it apart: knowing umbrellas inside out, and giving honest advice on the right one for the job.

We're hands-on. We come out to your space, look at how you'll use it — the wind, the sun, the foot traffic — and talk through what actually suits it. And because we build to order, you're not stuck with whatever's in the box. Valances, stripes, custom colours, sizing, your branding across the canopy — if you can picture it, we can work with you to make it. Most of our competitors can only sell you what's on the shelf. We make the umbrella that fits your space.

It helps that we don't just sell umbrellas — we repair them too, including other brands'. Stripping back and rebuilding umbrellas day in, day out means we know exactly what lasts and what doesn't, and that knowledge goes into everything we recommend.

We're also raising the bar on what we stock, bringing in a new range with our manufacturing partners — better umbrellas, backed by better service. Because we think you should buy an umbrella once, not replace it every couple of seasons.
