1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing this website (www.ddawson.com.au) or placing an order through our online store, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. Products & Pricing
We supply premium outdoor umbrellas, café barriers, bases, canopies, and accessories. Product images, descriptions, and prices are provided in good faith. Prices and availability are subject to change without notice. Errors may be corrected after order placement. All discounts, promotional offers, and sale prices are applied to the recommended retail price (RRP) only. Discounts cannot be applied to already reduced, clearance, or non-retail priced items unless otherwise stated.
3. Orders & Payment
Accepted payment methods include Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Shop Pay, Google Pay, and Apple Pay. Orders are confirmed only once payment has been received in full. All prices are in AUD and include GST unless otherwise stated.
4. Shipping & Delivery
Orders are shipped using Australia Post, MachShip freight, or courier services depending on size and destination.
Lead times vary depending on product type (typically 1–2 weeks for standard items and 3–4 weeks for custom branding).
Large umbrellas must be transported flat to prevent damage.
Risk passes to the customer once goods leave our warehouse.
5. Returns & Refunds
No refunds or returns for change of mind.
Under the Australian Consumer Law, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund if a product is faulty, not as described, or unfit for purpose.
Returned items must be unused and in original packaging, and may be subject to a restocking fee.
6. Warranty
Fabric Canopies: 5-year warranty.
Umbrella Frames: 2-year warranty.
Warranty covers manufacturing defects only. It does not cover misuse, improper installation, weather/wind damage, or normal wear and tear.
7. Repairs & After-Sales Service
D. Dawson & Co provides a full repair service through our brand The Broken Umbrella, including cord replacements, canopy repairs, and winder servicing. Courier collection can be arranged if required.
8. Intellectual Property
All website content—including designs, logos, images, and text—belongs to D. Dawson & Co. Unauthorized use or reproduction is prohibited.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, D. Dawson & Co is not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products or services.
10. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes must be resolved through the courts of Victoria.
