Our Story
D.Dawson & Co has supplied outdoor umbrellas since 1989. Since taking over the business in 2021, our family has continued its focus on practical advice, quality canopies and support long after the sale.
From our workshop in Seaford, Melbourne, we help homeowners, cafés, pubs, restaurants and events choose shade for their space. Share your measurements, site photos and the way you plan to use the umbrella, and we can work through suitable sizes, frames, bases and colours.
Our team cuts and makes canopies in Australia using imported fabrics and carries out logo printing in-house. Frames and complete third-party ranges are externally sourced. Custom sizes, valances, colours and branding are assessed individually for your brief and the suitability of the design.
Through our repair division, The Broken Umbrella, we also assess worn canopies and serviceable components, including many other brands. That hands-on experience helps us advise on maintaining umbrellas and replacing suitable parts over time.
